ARLINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL
The CSI Geo staff was hired by Ajax Building Corporation as sub to perform quality control testing and construction materials inspection for the construction of the new Arlington Middle School. The new building was to replace the 33 year-old existing structure on the 18-acre campus. The new $21 million, 160,000-square-foot school was completed and occupied in 2006. Tests performed by CSI included in place soil compaction testing (nuclear density), concrete sampling and testing, asphalt roadway and plant inspections. Laboratory tests conducted included soils proctors, and concrete cylinder breaks. Our staff also performed threshold inspections, as well as roofing and welding inspections.

UNF SPORTS ARENA
CSI Geo staff performed construction materials testing and inspection on a four story-parking garage and elevated walkway connected to the University of North Florida’s Sports Arena. Our services included nondestructive testing and inspection of structural steel, as well as site and laboratory testing of concrete and soils.

BREWSTER HOSPITAL
CSI Geo staff performed construction materials testing and inspection on this historic U.S. hospital. Brewster Hospital served African Americans in Jacksonville from 1901 to 1966. The hospital was founded because the healthcare facilities in Jacksonville and surrounding areas denied treatment to African-Americans until the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. On May 13, 1976, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Tests performed included in place soil compaction testing (nuclear density), concrete sampling and testing, asphalt roadway and plant inspections. Laboratory tests conducted include soils proctors, and concrete cylinder breaks were performed.
