CEI INSPECTOR
As a CEI Inspector, you will provide field observation, measurement, and testing services during construction to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards. You will act as the liaison between the contractor, engineer, utility agencies, and the client, documenting progress, quality, and quantity of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities (e.g., earthwork, asphalt, concrete).
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications and contracts.
- Measure quantities of materials installed (concrete, asphalt, steel, drainage, traffic control devices, etc.).
- Perform sampling and testing of materials (e.g., densities, concrete cylinders, asphalt cores) and document results.
- Maintain daily inspection logs, field books, and generate reports for contractor payment and project documentation.
- Monitor contractor’s quality control activities and ensure adherence to approved Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) plans.
- Work in outdoor field environment, across varying terrain and weather conditions; travel between job sites as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction inspection; experience with roadway/bridge projects preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong mathematical skills to calculate quantities of work installed.
- Physical ability to stand, walk uneven terrain, able to lift 50-60 lbs, work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Familiarity with FDOT specifications and standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of construction project administration, and software tools (e.g., BlueBeam, ProjectSolve) is a plus.
Preferred FDOT Certifications (current or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- CTQP Asphalt Paving Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
- Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification

Assistant Driller
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Assistant Driller with strong character to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the lead driller to perform essential drilling operations, including auger and mud rotary drilling, rock coring, SPT testing, undisturbed sampling, and field permeability testing. This role requires someone who is not only technically capable but also reliable, trustworthy, and committed to safety and teamwork. The position involves travel to various project sites, with some assignments requiring overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Driller in operating drilling equipment and performing field testing.
- Coordinate and collaborate with drilling manager and team staff.
- Perform routine maintenance on drill rigs and related equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in all tasks.
- Travel to project sites, including out-of-town assignments.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR check.
- Capable of performing manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Physical ability to lift and move 50-75 lbs regularly.
- Capable of clearing military base access requirements.
- Proven track record of reliability, trustworthiness, and strong character.

Construction Materials Testing Technician

Job Responsibilities
- Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials
(e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Job sites are located in North Florida Area. - Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s
representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements,
and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results. - Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for
further testing and analysis. - Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports
as work is performed for daily transmittal to the CSI Geo Project Manager. - Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
- Adhere to strict safety standards.
Job Requirements
