 BP PIPE BRIDGE OVER SR 105

The BP Pipe Bridge Project included erecting a 143 foot bridge over SR 105 (Hecksher Drive) at the BP Terminal in Jacksonville, Florida.  Work included driving steel piles, concrete foundations, construction oversight of structural steel at off site fabrication yards, oversight of off site pipe fabrication, erection of structural steel towers on both the terminal and tank farm sides, erection, moving and setting of the steel bridge and tie in of the existing pipelines.  The structural steel work included welding inspection and bolt inspection to ensure compliance with ASTM Methods and the Florid Department of Transportation Specifications for Road and Bridge construction.  Pipe work included NACE certified inspection of all painting, welding inspection and pressure test oversight.  Additional work including permitting services for the bridge through the FDOT, CSX Rail Road and Jacksonville Transportation Authority, utility coordination, and maintenance of traffic coordination with the ongoing JTA work outside the boundary limits of the BP project.  Additional work was later added to erect a retaining wall around the tank farm tower to allow for added protection due to the alignment of the new roadway.
